Cloud computing refers to the usage of the computational resources through the use of various network. Cloud computing vendors networks support several kinds of applications, including ones which allow sharing all sorts of e-mails, files, and databases. Before the recent innovations in cloud computing, computing was done on just one computer, which held all the software and data needed. The model changes when it comes to cloud computing where the user's computer may not even contain any software or any stored data. Normally, even a computer with just a browser and an operating system are enough. The only evident activity going on would most probably be the network processes being carried out. Most users now have a wider variety of options because a lot of cloud computing service providers feature packages which include most networking services.

Cloud computing, in a nutshell, involves a wide computer network which supports all the needs of a user's computer. This can involve processor-based functions, or storage disk needs, or support for certain applications. This is why "computing using the Internet" is a common description of cloud computing. Currently, however, the definition of cloud computing is evolving. A lot of people believe that the term is just a name for a Google application. Cloud computing and more specifically, the applications to be used in the data centers invariably depend on the amount and kind of data to be processed.

If you still don't have a clear picture of the concept of cloud computing, imagine how public utilities, such as gas, electricity, or water, are being operated. A cloud computing tool works just the same way as these public utilities. The supply of these commodities would be best used to describe the cloud computing where the aspect of centralized supply of resources is the main idea.

Just as it becomes easy to obtain electricity without the concerning with how it was generated, how it moved from very far to your house, so does cloud computing behaves in the same way. Cloud computing makes it so much easier for users, since there's no need to maintain any particular equipment or to install software. Users can even access all sorts of computer components such as hard drives and processors by installing simple software provided by their cloud computing service provider. This way the cloud computing solutions are usually achieved by the service providers.

The term cloud was derived from the use of cloud as a symbol which was mostly employed in flow charts when describing internet. Computers connected to a cloud are actually connected to a main source, which stores all files and applications of computers under the same cloud. This makes it more practical for users who want to be able to keep files (music, videos, or bookmarks) on demand or want to run certain applications from a remote server instead of carrying the actual storage equipment traditionally needed. Cloud computing is an obiquitous presence on the Internet, but so few people actually recognize its importance. You Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail accounts are what they are now thanks to cloud computing. The major cloud computing tool is the use of a main route where different user can have the connection to it thereby cutting on cost. The users of the cloud can share the various functions found in the computer by connecting to the internet either directly or through some established internet. Thanks to cloud computing, the several users under a single cloud are able to access the same files and applications on the main network.
