Currently there are numerous style and design choices available. Eyeglass frames for women are no longer the embarrassing design they were, now they are a fashion accessory. Finding eyeglasses that accent your features is a difficult task. The first step is to identify your face type. Once you know this, consider the statement you want to make with your glasses. To begin, there are seven general facial types. You can be square, oval, round, diamond, heart, and triangle shaped. The importance of knowing your facial type is to rapidly narrow your search for the perfect set of glasses. Those with a strong jaw, and equally proportioned features are the square faces. To create contrast the best choices will include oval or round designs. For the truly bold, find a butterfly design. Individuals blessed with balanced facial features, the chin being slightly smaller than the forehead are ovals. Consider yourself to be very lucky, since your face will match nearly every style you can pick what you like best without concerns. If you really would like to stand out, try a geometric shape. People with oblong faces have high foreheads and cheekbones, with long noses. Your features give the impression of being longer than wide. To distract from the length, try something with heavy top rims or temples with a little extra, these items will give width to your appearance. The cherubs or the world are the round faces. You search should include geometric shapes and angles, this provides definition to the rounded features. Rectangles are an excellent choice. Women with those fantastic prominent cheekbones have diamond faces when coupled with smaller foreheads and chins. Play to your best feature, slip on a pair of glasses with a dramatic up swept design. If you are not feeling that bold, try rimless or oval shapes. Won't you be my Valentine, my sweet cupie? Heart shaped faces have features with wide foreheads which then narrow down to a small chin. Depending on what you want to distract from, your chin or your brow will determine your design choice. Bottom heavy styles will give width to the lower portion of your face, or use round or narrow styles to lessen the presence of your forehead. A triangle face starts with a narrow forehead which gradually widens down to the chin. Your features will be accented best with a semi-rimless design, which will pull attention to your upper face. If you would prefer to lessen the strong jaw, try a top-heavy rim to create symmetry. Each of the seven facial types have general suggestions for best correlated designs, that have used to fit the most famous people. You may not like the suggestions, and find you look better in a different style. The important thing is to find what you like and are comfortable in, there are a wide range of eyeglass frames for women to look at.
