If you are going to be starting the Cam Gigandet workout, more power to you. This is a workout that is highly intense, and if you do it properly and remain dedicated you can get some results. However, any effort that you make could all be in vain if you don't give your nutrition the proper attention it deserves. Many people do not realize this, but your success directly relates to what you eat an hour before your workout as well as what you eat an hour afterward. This can make or break you when it comes to reaching your fitness goals, and there is nothing worse than wasting time in the gym.

When you eat your pre-workout meal, your primary objective should be to get your body ready to handle the stress you are about to unleash on it. Your body has energy stores, and once you use these up during your workout your body starts turning carbs into the fuel that your body needs to contract your muscles. This is why you need to give your body a sufficient amount of carbohydrates before you workout, that way you are going to have the fuel you need to get the most out of your exercises.

Before you begin your Cam Gigandet workout, you should eat a meal that mainly consists of complex carbohydrates as well as protein. This will greatly enhance your body's potential for building muscle. The reason why you need to have your meal an hour before you work out is because your body needs to have a sufficient amount of time to process the nutrients so that they are there and available for you during your workout. Your other choice would be to take in a protein shake just 15 minutes before starting to exercise.

Even more important is what you eat after your workout. Sometimes when you have had a really intense workout you will end up with little tears in your muscles. During the time right after you are done working out, your body is going to be attempting to repair these little tears and strengthen them. This is why it is so important to eat the right things so that you body will be able to do what it needs to do.

You need protein for the repair and strengthening of your muscles, and you need carbohydrates to replenish your energy stores. You need to consume these things within a reasonable amount of time because the sooner you do, the sooner your body can begin the repair process. You want to make sure that you take in your post-workout meal within 90 minutes after you have stopped exercising.

You are most likely logging your calorie count, but you should increase your calories on the days you workout by not logging the meal you eat after your workout. This is because when you do something as intense as the cam gigandet workout, you are going to need to consume extra calories to replace what you have lost.
