It's no surprise that so many people want to know how to get a body like Cristiano Ronaldo. He is in such pristine physical condition that you have to wonder what it would take to get there. Of course, when you try to look for a good workout and diet plan, there are so many out there. How do you know which one to go with? The thing is that out of all the workout and diet plans out there, they all end up boiling down to the same basic things. As long as you stick with the basics you can't go wrong.

You will first want to determine what kind of workout you should do. Ok, it's obvious you will be doing cardio, so let's set that aside for now. We're talking about weight training. If you want muscles like Cristiano Ronaldo you are going to be spending some time in the weight room. Are you going to do a full body routine or a split set?

In most cases you should pick a full body routine. The only time that anyone would be better off starting out with a split set s if they seriously needed special attention in one area. When you do a full body workout you can get even muscle growth throughout your entire body. Plus, you get the benefit of only having to work out 2-3 times a week for less than an hour at a time. This is because you get every muscle group done in one set, so you rest the next day. When you do a split routine you work out certain groups one day, then the next day you are still in the gym because you have to work out the muscle groups that you missed the day before. You just end up spending so much time in the gym when you don't really have to.

Think about your diet plan as well. Do you need to think more about fat loss or muscle gain first? If you have to lose a lot of fat you will want to take care of this first, or else you will end up with a bunch of pointless muscles lying hidden beneath all of your fat. Once you lose a good percentage of your body fat you can switch your diet to one that is more geared toward muscle gain instead. So when you are trying to lose fat you should watch your calorie intake, stay away from fatty foods and anything that is processed. Don't have a lot of sugars and white bread either.

On the other hand, if you need to gain muscle, make sure that you eat 7 times a day. Eat plenty of protein and complex carbohydrates. You want to make sure that you eat before and after you workout. The meal before your workout is going to give you the energy to get through your workout with the best performance possible. Having protein afterwards will aid the recovery process. You can get in good shape too just like Cristiano Ronaldo, just follow these basic concepts and be sure to stay committed to your workouts on a regular basis.
