Ryan Reynolds has the kind of body that a lot of guys are trying to get right now. Gone are the days when everybody was trying to get the biggest muscles possible. Now it's all about having lean muscle and a chiseled look. In order to achieve this, you have to have to be able to achieve a really low body fat percentage while defining your muscles at the same time. There are several things that you can do to help this process go faster.

It may seem contradictory to be working on fat loss and muscle definition at the same time, but they actually go hand in hand. You could have the most defined muscles in the world, but no one would ever know it if you have a big layer of fat covering them up! Even the slightest layer of fat is going to take away from that chiseled look. On the other hand, if you lose a lot of fat without working on your muscles, you will just end up looking too skinny.

So you have to determine where you are at, and what it is going to take for you to get to that Ryan Reynolds look you want to achieve. You will most likely have to focus quite a bit on fat loss, because it takes quite a low body fat percentage to get that chiseled look you want. You should eat 5-7 small meals per day. Watch your calorie intake, but don't obsess over it because you are likely going to want some muscle too and you will need some calories for that.

Make sure that when you are done working out you eat some lean protein. As a matter of fact, you should base quite a bit of your diet around lean protein, because this is a lot harder for your body to break down than anything else. You will use up a lot more energy breaking down protein, and when your body needs energy it will use stored fat to get it.

When you are working on building muscle definition, you have to change up what you do in the weight room. You can't just start lifting a bunch of heavy weight. The best way to do it is to lift less weight and do more reps. It helps if you vary the exercises that you do, because you don't want your body to get used to doing the same thing all of the time. Once this happens you will stop seeing results. Also, take note of your form when you are lifting weights. As you bring the weight down, focus on bringing it down in a slow and controlled manner.

The idea is for your muscle to get the most that it can out of the exercise. It will also be beneficial if you can do more compound exercises that use more than one muscle group at a time so that you can get more out of every exercise. In order to get the look that Ryan Reynolds has, you will need to take this advice and focus on both fat loss and muscle definition in order to look lean and chiseled.
