There are so many guys out there who are hoping that their workout routines will help them get the same results that Ryan Reynolds has gotten. What's really impressive about Ryan is that even long after he has completed his movie roles he still maintains all of that lean muscle. He has a lot of dedication, and it obviously pays off. Sure, a lot of it depends on the person and how committed they are to getting results. But there are also other factors involved that can make or break your success.

First of all, it may seem like a good idea to push yourself extra hard when you are trying to achieve that Ryan Reynolds physique, but you have to make sure that you do not over-train your muscles. It's actually highly ineffective, and it can cause injury. Imagine how much of your progress you would lose if you had to miss workouts due to an injury. It is good to constantly push yourself, but you have to become aware of your limits too.

You should always limit your workouts to less than an hour. This is because any more than that and you are probably going to end up getting too much cortisol running through your body, and this is going to get in the way of building muscle. Keeping this in mind, since your workouts can only be an hour long, you are going to have to shorten your rest time in between sets so that you will be able to fit all your exercises into that timeframe. Start out with a rest period of 60 seconds, and gradually lower it to 30 seconds.

Another thing that is really important is that you include compound exercises in your workouts. These are the kinds of exercises that are going to work more than one muscle group at a time. It's just more effective this way since you are going to be trying to squeeze each of your exercises into only an hour. Some examples of compound exercises are squats and bench press exercises. By including these in your workout routine, you will be able to work more than one muscle group at a time so that you have more time to include additional muscle groups.

It may seem like a good idea to work out every day, but it definitely is not. Your muscles experience growth during your rest time, so be sure to take a day of rest in between workouts. A good rule to go by is that if your muscles are still sore, they are not yet ready for a workout. Some people will take a little bit longer to recover than others, but try to remember that by taking this time to let your muscles rest you are letting them reach their maximum growth potential.

These are just a few basic tips to give you a bit of an advantage before you get started. If you have dedication like Ryan Reynolds, you have everything you need to get the results you want.
