The question of how cloud hosting works can best be understood when cloud computing is first well understood. The system which involves a single network, multiple servers, and different users is called cloud hosting. Rather than have the same old way of having a single server, several users can now be able to use and retrieve information from multiple servers. Just one infrastructure is shared among several users in cloud hosting, which is also known as clustered hosting. With a cloud server host, users can access various servers which are normally updated in real time. This is practical because most online operations aren't restricted to just one server. You can use multiple servers thanks to a cloud hosted infrastructure, so you don't have to worry about single-server problems such as limited bandwidth and/or RAM or slow processing. There is the issue of balancing the load where it is usually balanced automatically across a number of servers. New servers can also be added or removed from the combination of servers without any interruption to the applications which are being run by the customers. The major benefit of cloud hosting is the fact that, it is now possible to provide to the small and medium enterprises the resilience and the stability of a web hosting architecture which in the past was enjoyed by the giant organizations. A virtualization layer is one of the fundamental aspects of all cloud servers, including cloud server. Each cloud server is treated like a separate and individual virtual machine in the virtualization layer. Software which is hypervisor is normally used to add a server due to the fact that the software has a reliable performance and the security is guaranteed. So the virtualization layers make it possible to move a cloud server or to resize them. Nevertheless, one of the restricting aspects of the cloud hosting is the cost aspect involved in the whole idea. This is why not everyone uses cloud hosting servers, and only businesses which need reliable and powerful processors tend to invest in them. The cloud hosting companies normally charge their users depending on the quantity of computing power consumed. Cloud hosting is not only economical, it's also good for the environment too, because it prevents the need for extra power even if online traffic increases. The reliability of the whole idea of having to use a cloud hosted internet brings the questions of how safe it is to share your data. There are different sides to this issue, and each side has valid points. On one hand, there are those who believe that cloud hosting servers pose the danger of having personal information and data stolen by other people. To others, it is very reliable to use the internet which is cloud hosted due to the measures employed to enhance security of the users. Personally I believe that both sides have a point, and that the issue cannot be answered with definiteness because the technology is still evolving. Therefore, some of the existing challenges would slowly though not completely be dealt with.
