The average person has no idea what a kegel exercise is, let alone the many benefits that can come from practicing them. The reason why this is so unfortunate is because these exercises an actually improve a lot of medical problems along with the sexual experiences of both women and men.

These exercise help to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. It is the same concept as any other exercise that you would do at the gym, a muscle gets stronger the more that you work it. Also, just like doing exercise at the gym, you can get better results when you add resistance. For this reason, sometimes people even use a kegel exerciser to enhance the performance of their exercises.

Women can actually benefit from kegel exercise in many ways, one of them being preparation for pregnancy and childbirth. The exercises help to reduce pain during this time as well as reinforce the muscles in this area to reduce the risk of damage. This is why a lot of pregnant women are told by their doctor to perform these exercises throughout their pregnancy.

Women also benefit from these exercises in a sense that they have a positive effect on vaginal prolapse and help to prevent uterine prolapse. Additionally, it has been proven that these exercises also help women with urinary incontinence.

Men can benefit from doing these exercises in a sense that they will help with prostate pain and swelling. Men who have already had issues with these things can appreciate how important it would be to get relief in such situations. As far as sexual benefits for women, by strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor, women will end up having much more control over this area in general. This control is very useful in the bedroom, because the woman is then able to tighten the walls of her vagina whenever she wishes to during sex.
