The Realism Of Golf Simulation

Why would a golfer want to use golf simulation? In today's modern and accelerated way of life, there is one common thing amongst almost all of us: we want everything and we want it now. With that said, we would normally expect that patience has been somewhat eroded, but in the case of golfers it is quite the opposite. They actually manage to spend four hours of their free time walking under the burning sun and viciously hitting every ball in their path; eighteen holes of what I would call pure agony. However, I must confess that the sport itself has some kind of charm which actually entertains you, but come on! Do I have to spend so many hours walking and burning myself under the sun? Is it really necessary?

With a little bit of research I got the answer I was waiting for: golf simulation. I was really excited to know that such amazing and advanced software existed, with state of the art technology in the form of sensors, beautiful scenarios and golf courses awaiting me to play. With so many available features for me to perfect my technique, I started planning on buying one. On that sad day I learned that luxury and comfort are rarely affordable: a golf simulator is not cheap, and when I say that I mean they are really expensive.

Nevertheless, I didn't give up and resumed my research on these new and fine devices. They come in all shapes and sizes, from portable and convenient to huge and obstructive. These simulators have invaded the market. They are purchased by many golf clubs so their members can have access to the game within more ample schedules, therefore expanding their business and game-hours. After a few minutes, I had discovered that a local golf club had some simulators of their own, so I decided to pay them a visit. I was determined to use one of them at least once.

The experience of playing golf with a simulator is amazing. From the moment you swing the club and hit the ball you can actually feel that what you are seeing on the screen is how the ball in the real world would behave. In addition, you feel that you have a personal trainer with you at all times, and the feedback you receive from your swing analysis and the ball direction really does help you. After some time of playing, I discovered a very odd thing: I wanted to go out and try all the things I had just learned on the real golf course.

These simulators are an excellent addition for you to train, practice, and play or simply have fun with your friends on a rainy evening. They provide you with many interesting tools that help you improve your skills, and maybe even begin to like the game more. However, if you have the time and you would really like to spend four hours or more walking and hitting golf balls, it is a lot more recommendable than just staying inside and playing through golf simulation.
