You can go to a concert, show, or play without having to spend too much. Even if it is some hot new musical or a small unknown play as much there is some quoted price, there are theatre tickets which have an affordable price range. It is obvious that with a varied price range most people will go for the cheap ones considering the fact that some of them incur other costs like train ticket and paying for a hotel room especially if they hail from outside London. Getting a cheap theatre ticket is easy; in fact even the most prestigious theatres in London offer great discounts for even the most well known plays. In order to get a chance like this, however, you'll need to be in London for some time. This way, you'll be more familiar with the territory and how things work here.

The first place to check around is tkts booths. You can get as much as half price off on West End shows from ticket booths at Leister Square and Brent Shopping Centre. On the day of the show, you should expect most ticket sellers to start selling their remaining tickets at a discount. You can also get full price tickets to other events, like sports and concerts, from the same ticket booths. To guarantee yourself that you will get a ticket you will have to arrive early because these tickets sell out very fast. If you compare theatre tickets it is advisable to visit ticket booths because they avail discounted tickets for over 3 shows every day. A ticket from there will normally cost around £10 to £25 since discounts can be as high as fifty percent.

You can also save money by asking for standby theatre tickets or reserves from the theatre box office on the night of a particular show. The "pay what you can" system is used by the Arcola Theatre, particularly on the nights of the show and on Tuesdays from 7 in evening.

You can also get ten pound tickets or less at the National Theatre. Check out for this information at the Travelex Tickets for£10. The airline style policy is being utilized by the Southwark Playhouse, and you can save as much as 12 pounds when you arrive there early. If you already have your tickets, you can avail of a refund.

By buying in bulk—a large number of people, or a set of tickets to different shows—you can also get great discounts.

In fact, when you buy 20 standing tickets from Donmar Warehouse you'll be able to get them at reasonable prices. Said discount is offered only when the seat tickets are sold out. Likewise the Wyndham's Theatre gives 20 standing tickets a discount. At the Royal Court standing tickets are available at 10p if only you arrive an hour earlier. The Shakespeare's Globe Theatre offers outdoor theatre when seats are unavailable.
