There are four levels of anxiety for which you can consider. Each level has its own manifestations and cause physical and emotional changes to the person involved. The first level is the mild anxiety. In this level of anxiety, sensory stimulation's are increased which results to the person being able to focus his attention on learning, solve problems by thinking, acting and feeling better. This is the level that motivates people to be goal-oriented and engage in activities that are directed to that goal.

Moderate anxiety is the second level of anxiety. The person in this level becomes agitated and worry-wart since he senses that something is definitely wrong. He will have a hard time concentrating on any task that is given to him and would need other to succeed. His attention may wander but proper redirection can be made.

As the level of anxiety progresses, the rate of its dangerous quality increases. More primitive survival skills emerge by the time the level reaches the third level of anxiety, severe anxiety. In this level, the person would basically have trouble on reasoning and thinking. The person becomes restless, angry and more irritable. Moreover, his vital signs increase and his muscles tighten. These are only few of the outlets of the person in this level to release tension.

The fourth level of anxiety, the panic anxiety level is the worst and extreme level of anxiety. The person in this level have his vital signs greatly increase due to adrenalin surge. Defense is the only mechanism that the person in this level has. All the cognitive and psycho motor activities are all leading to the person?s defense which makes it quite scary since the person in this level can be in a state of out of control.
