Electric powered angle grinders are made for extensive use because they can run as long as you can maintain their power source. There are less moving parts in this kind of grinders and these less parts make these doors very cooler than usual grinders and you can use them for longer periods of time.

There are basically three tasks that can be executed with this tool and these three tasks are grinding, polishing and cutting. The disc that is used for all of these purposes is the determining factor because it will determine the exact power of the tool. Most of the electric grinder is operated at 110 volts.

The actual power of the grinder is determined by the wattage value of the tool and most of the times a normal grinder has 720 watt power. 720 watt motor can run at 11000 RPM and that is a quiet amazing fast speed. Wattage affects the power decrease when the load is applied and higher wattage means that the grinder will lose less speed upon applying load. Wires and brushes of electric grinder should be taken care of because they will play an important role in maintenance of the tool. If the wires are frayed and brushes are worn downs then, you will need to replace them and never try and work with worn out parts because it will not only make the tool more faulty but it will also not do the work satisfactory.

Especially when it comes to brushes then, you should know that brushes transfer the power from upper part to the grinding part and if your brushes are worn out then, they will lose certain part of the power that can be dangerous for your work. Safety features of these grinders should also be taken seriously because when you are working with so much powerful tool then, there are some very crucial precautions that are very necessary for the tool to remain safe. The electric grinder should be properly grounded and if it is not then, it can give the user a very fatal shock. Three prong plug of electric grinder will make sure that the device is never electrocuted. In other precautions you must have a pair of heavy gloves while operating these angle grinders.

These gloves are necessary to absorb the shock as well to avoid the flying metallic sparks. Along with these gloves a pair of safety glasses is also necessary for your eyes because it can often happen that flying sparks can come high and can enter in your eyes that can be very fatal for your eyes. There are specially designed glasses used for this purpose that you must purchase. Be sure that your electric supply is proper and it does not have any fluctuations and if you have the risk of fluctuating power level then, you can always use a stabilizer for these grinders. This stabilizer will make sure that angle grinders are getting a regular and uniform electric supply that will not damage their internal circuitry.
