Embodied within the concept of wind turbine kits lies the solution to our present energy crisis. Please bear with me and I will explain… Let me say at the beginning, there are several reasons that are driving the current energy problems we are having. Meaning, the increasing cost of energy: The giant oilfields in the Arab world are approaching the normal lifecycle time of oil wells - they are approaching oil well "old age"The Americanization of the Chinese economy - all the world wants to live like Americans now and our consumptive lifestyle is sucking down energy at an increasingly alarming rateNew oil in large quantities hasn't been found in quite a while (small ones have but not really large ones like were found in the Middle East 50 years ago) The biggest worry we should have is that the big oil fields that supply such a large portion of our fossil fuel needs are getting old. The average oil field has a lifespan of 40-50 years and the biggest of the wells in Saudi Arabia now are that age. The scary thing is wells don't drop off slowly or taper off. Instead, they drop off like falling off a cliff. When they are done, they are done. Next, the Chinese economy is strong and the Americanization or Westernization of their culture is driving a huge amount of fuel consumption. Finally, we aren't replacing the oil that we are consuming. Most of the new supplies that get reported in the press are way down at the bottom of the ocean and difficult to get at or, trapped in some other material, like oil shale. We've found the oil but we don't know how to crack it and free it from its surroundings. Our saving grace could be in the form of wind turbine kits. That is because those kits can be an easily deployable from of dispersed electricity generation. In other words, if everyone had wind turbines, solar collectors, and other renewable energy sources, we would have little concern for the Middle East and their oil field issues. Instead of the centrally located power plants we have traditionally had to supply power to our towns and cities, wind turbine kits allow electricity to be made at home and therefore independent of the big utilities and their reliance on fossil fuels. By rolling out an army of wind turbine kits on all the roofs of America could supply much of our electricity requirements.
