Installing, assembling and purchasing the parts for a wind turbine is something that most folks need help with. Next, assemble all the equipment you will be including - usually, the biggest part of the cost is the turbine, or the motor. It is not necessary to get one right off the manufacturing line - instead you can get a used motor and save yourself a ton of money. Just make sure that whatever you get meets the minimum specifications that the plans lay out for you. 3. Next, obviously, put the parts together - you need a lot of space to do this so make sure that you have a roomy work area. Also, don't get too far away from the place you plan on installing the turbine because these windmills are HEAVY. They can easily weigh a few hundred pounds so you do not want to be lifting them very far. 4. Commissioning or putting the device in service - this is something you may need a professional to help you do or do for you. If you are tying in to the electrical grid especially. You will need someone who understands what can happen if things aren't installed carefully. This will save you a lot of time in the long run if you don't have that skill set.
