It is extremely hard to notice the symptoms of ovarian cancer in women. Most women think that the symptoms like abdominal pain and bloated stomach are a part of their period. The delay in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer in women is due to the fact that these are everyday problems for most of the women. A late diagnosis results in a more intense situation than it should have been. The success rate may also be lower than and the disease can turn out to be rather fatal.

Sometimes, ovarian cancer in women can be hereditary. The doctor should know about it if you have two or more than two members of your family that have suffered from either breath cancer or ovarian cancer. Mostly, the younger women don't think of these symptoms to be a matter of concern since they think that it is a part of normal menstrual cycle and that a cancer can only be diagnosed in older women. Another reason is that they have never been told about the symptoms of ovarian cancer in women. There are still many illiterate women in the third world countries that never get a chance to get even basic education. It is quite difficult for these women to even know the symptoms of ovarian cancer in women. You need to consult a doctor or any other health professional if you have observed the above mentioned symptoms daily. Breast and cervical cancer are usually observed to be much more in women than ovarian cancer. If you have observed any symptom of the above even then consult a doctor because it is not necessary to have all these symptoms at a time. If the symptoms get worse than before then you need to ask your health professional to conduct tests again. This is a serious disease and you cannot afford to be careless at all.

Cancer of any kind needs to be detected at an earlier stage so that your life or a life of your family member can be saved. You should spread awareness about it in the third world countries. There are more deaths in these countries than anywhere else in the world.
