Medically, Liposuction is the method used to suction the fats deposited in several parts of the body which deny to go away despite exercising or dieting. This method is extremely popular all over the world. The method of Liposuction Australia and rest of the world is very much safe but still, the method is being constantly improved to provide better results. This method is used to remove fat mainly from hips, stomach and thighs.

There are many people who claim to have invented the method. It is because of this reason that it becomes difficult to trace back the actual history of the method. The first notable claim comes from the period as early as 1920. It is believed that the method was first tried by a French surgeon called Charles Dujarier on a model but the model has known to have died because of gangrene complications which rose out the method and hence, Liposuction was stopped until 1974 when it was reinvented by Italian gynecologists Dr. Georgio Fischer and Dr. Georgio Fischer Jr. and that was the era which gave birth to the currently used methods of Liposuction.

The Side Effects: During the 1970's and 80's, the method of Liposuction was used quite often to fine tune the method. However, in the process of finding the best Liposuction method, the patients ended up becoming experimental objects and they had to face several side effects like excessive bleeding, permanent numbness, imperfect results and more. These side effects generally came out as a consequence of failed experiment by one surgeon or the other.

Effective Advances: The major breakthrough was achieved by the French doctor Yves-Gerard. He used a cannula (it is a thin metal tube) with a blunt tip to manipulate the fat cells. This helped in less bleeding and less damage to the nerves and blood vessels. This resulted in fast recovery after surgery and level of discomfort after the operation was also reported to be less. However, the method was far from being even close to perfect but the result was better. Later in 1985 a better method called Tumescent was developed with far better results. This method used local anesthesia. The year 1987 led to the development of Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction with even better results, which became further better in 1988.

As of Date: As of date, the method of Liposuction has developed immensely and it is used in different parts of the world almost routinely. This is true even in case of Liposuction Australia. As of date, the method is carried out in Australia either by using local anesthesia or general anesthesia. There are various methods which are being used in the country. They generally include PAL (power assisted lipo), UAL (ultrasonic assisted lipo), Super Wet Technique, Water Jet Assisted Liposuction etc. These methods lead to better results, very less side effects, less pain, fast recovery after surgery and results which are satisfactory. So, if you are looking for Liposuction Australia, you have a number of options open for you which will yield results which are nearly perfect as expected.
