Once upon a time, all electricity for home consumption was made in big power plants and almost no one used wind turbine kits at home. Power was cheap - too cheap for any of us to waste our time on trifles like making energy at our houses. That energy gospel was actually what was preached to us when I was growing up. The advent of nuclear power especially would usher in a world in which electricity would be too cheap to even meter! As we all pretty much now realize, that is not only NOT the case, but quite the opposite is actually the case: energy costs have skyrocketed and even with utilities bringing nuclear back, power costs are not coming down anytime soon. Why are wind turbine kits a solution to this problem? Wind turbine kits offer a way for homeowners to start making electricity themselves at their houses. By making fuel at home from the free and sustainable energy that surrounds us every day, we are taking part in an experiment that will define future life on this planet. These wind devices have 2 huge advantages over other renewable energy sources: Kits are modular and relatively inexpensive - and by modular I mean that all the parts are self-contained and all you do is assemble them. Also, if you purchase a set of plans and try to go out and buy all the parts individually, that will certainly be cheaper. However, you're going to have to go on a bit of scavenger hunt when you do that. Armed with only the specifications and no direction on where to buy them, you can end up taking a lot of time to build your wind mill that you could be spending making free energy. Kits give you a single source for parts and customer service if problems arise - again, if you build from a set of plans, you will have multiple sources for the parts you buy to construct your wind device from. By purchasing this product in kit form, you have one source stop to go back and correct anything that is not right. We can no longer afford to centralize power production and distribute it to the masses. There is just not enough of it to last more than a few more generations. In conclusion, wind turbine kits and other methods of capturing free power for our homes are a partial way out of the hole we have dug for ourselves. All you have to do is look around a little today and observe the wind blowing to understand its power and realize that almost all of us could be harnessing it for our personal use.
