When selecting the top colours for your bar stools you must first decide what material you will want them to be made from. The best material for long lasting good looks is leather. The more used leather gets the better it looks. It is durable and versatile. Leather comes in many different colors so if you can budget leather into the decor that would be the first recommendation. The general consensus for the second best choice in materials for versatility and durability is acrylic. This synthetic material is extremely rugged and practically indestructible. If the barstools are going to be used in a public establishment acrylic would be the material of choice. It will not have the timeless feeling that leather offers however, but for commercial purposes it is a good selection. Transparent acrylic would create the illusion of more space in the establishment as well as a retro futuristic look such as the googie period. White acrylic will add a contemporary sterile look and take up space visually. Neon-like colours like lime green or canary yellow would be suitable for an ultra-funky look reminiscent of the 1960s. If affordability is a priority then faux leather should be considered as a viable option. It resembles leather close enough that people cannot tell the difference. There are more barstool styles available with the fabric such as the Roma bar stool, the Detroit bar stool and the ultra modern looking bar stool uk. Black is a shade that will not take up visual space. Like a black hole it accentuates but recedes. It is a very sophisticated touch and lends an upmarket ambiance. Organic decor with warm, comforting tones of beige and brown create an earthiness to the room. A complimentary colour that works well is blue. These two colours have proven time and again that they are made for each other. The barstools should be a brown and blue patterned fabric with solid blue legs. Naturally varnished wood is valued for its aesthetic appeal but can be busy looking and get easily swallowed up if the rest of the room is equally visually active. Varnished wood is best viewed with plenty of light to reflect the natural beauty of the wood grain. Reduced lighting is best for darker varnished wood such as mahogany. There is a large percentage of men who are colour blind to some degree. They have difficulty telling the difference between green and red. For the most part they will see varying shades of brown. If the barstools are to be used in a public place then one might want to consider contrasting shades such as black and white or animal prints to create a lively interior. Bar stools can be used to tie together the elements in a room with a unifying colour. Purchasing a basic barstool design and painting the stools in a colour or shade such as black will often be enough to create a stunning interior look. Learning about how to put colours together is a skillful art that anyone can study.
