Many Designers Are Now Using Hair Feathers

The fashion of wearing feather hair extensions is the new look. Go on the internet and view the amount of online stores promoting many types of feathers for hair. They carry an inventory of feather earrings, feather hair extensions, and hair feathers. The various types are peacock feathers, rooster feathers, and goose feathers. You can purchase synthetic ones that look and feel just like the real ones, in a dizzying array of colors.

The frenzy at the moment are rooster feathers called "grizzlies", which can be purchased in a choice of lengths, but the most fashionable and desired grizzlies are longer ones. I am not sure why they are called grizzlies, but I do know that these feathers are the longest from a rooster's back, or saddle. The feather starts at the back of the rooster's neckline and may reach twelve to fourteen inches in length. A grizzly feather is narrow with horizontal stripes, and has the appearance of tightly braided hair when placed properly as a feather hair extension. The color of a natural grizzly is usually neutral, but it could be dyed to almost any color imaginable.

Hair feathers can be fastened to hair individually, or as a bundle or group. Bundling, when done creatively, combines diverse lengths, kinds, and shades of feathers. The outcome can be dazzling. A mixture of lengths and colors imaginatively combined will complement one another, making the total extension a stunning fashion statement. Feathers have different features. The type of bird will determine if the feather is long or short, thin or wide, and how soft the texture is. The softest feather in a bundle is normally a goose feather, which is small and egg-shaped.

Synthetic hair feathers are produced in all shapes and sizes. Synthetic feather hair extensions are advertised as having the same and feel as genuine feathers. They are less expensive than real hair feathers, and if you have qualms about wearing real feather hair extensions, then synthetic feathers could be the right style for you.

Be it grizzlies from roosters, or blue peacock "eye" feathers, or soft white goose feathers, or synthetic feathers, the style you are looking for in feather hair extensions or feather earrings can be found at many online stores, or your own hair salon. Price ranges vary between online stores regarding the types of feathers you are looking for. You can purchase them as groups, a package of five grizzlies for example, or you can buy them as an artistically bundled arrangement. If you are a creative person that prefers to mix and match their own bundles or singles, and attach them yourself instead of going to a hair stylist, then shopping online for hair feathers would be the way find your style.
