Leather barstools are very attractive and versatile. They will perk up an interior whether they are placed in a bar area, the kitchen in front of the island or elsewhere in the house. The look and feel of leather cannot be substituted with anything else. As long as leather is well taken care of it will last for many decades.

Beautiful swivel style bar stools are made in an assortment of designs and materials. Popular woods include cherry, oak, and walnut. Padded seats and backs will also look very inviting with a metal structure. Hide goes with all kinds of materials in all kinds of colors.

When we consider how long a good pair of leather shoes or boots lasts we have an idea of how durable leather is. The bar stool will never be subjected to the kind of wear and tear leather boots are subjected to in the northern climates of the world. The main tip to keep in mind is to make sure the leather is allowed to dry when it gets wet and to periodically clean it with leather mild leather cleaners.

The treatment of leather upholstery should not be the same as that for shoes or saddles. The finish is different so that one should avoid applying any silicon, wax or oil based chemicals on leather upholstery. One needs to use a water based foam cleanser and once the cleaning is done a water based protector.

Most modern day products have ingredients in them that will break down the leather finish and start the process of deterioration. The best conditioner for leather is simply water. Maintaining a regular cleaning regime will ensure that the leather will be kept in optimum condition.

Leather does not need special conditioning products. Many people believe the marketing campaigns without doing the necessary research to find out what these products will do to the upholstery finish. Different treatments used for the finish will require different products for cleansing.

Well built barstools will last a very long time. Careful regular cleaning of the hide and good maintenance of the stool should be practiced. Whenever the wood has taken a tap too hard from the mop or vacuum cleaner the touch ups should be taken care of right away to ensure that the bare wood is covered.

If the family pet has managed to scratch the real hide it is possible to erase the marks by rubbing olive oil into the marks with a soft white cloth. Allow four hours for the absorption of the oil. A final buffing is needed with a soft cloth.

Leather bar stools can make any room beautiful. When the style of the stool is beautifully crafted the room will look even more stunning. When real hide is cleaned regularly with a water based foam soap the upholstery will last a long time.
