The ongoing concern that company owners who have websites is how to get more people coming to their site. They hire SEO services and hope that this person will bring in the crowds overnight. These are not realistic expectations since it simply takes time to get traffic to come just like it would in an offline store. Trust needs time to build. The company owner needs to not forget that many factors play a role in bringing customers to their site. The expected time for this to take place varies from a few weeks to a year. When the owners hear that they may be spending money on marketing for a year before they see anything happen they may doubt the power of social media marketing. The general keyword may have many competitors but there will be fewer going for the long tail keywords. Pairing the city and the zip code with the general keyword for instance will help to bring in traffic more quickly. Long term strategies work in the long term. Running a hit or miss marketing program will not build trust with the search engines. Consistency is what they are looking for and the SEO expert must make this clear to their clients.
