If you are planning to buy road running shoes, you need to be very careful about what you are buying. You will not want to ruin your feet and toes. Will you? The very basic thing that you need to keep in mind is that you are not going to buy your running shoes every day. This means that you will be investing once for something which will keep serving you for years. However, if you are not choosing your pair of running shoes properly, you will have to discard them in a matter of few days. What exactly will happen if you are not buying the right type of shoes? You will actually have blistered feet and have some muscle pain which can be very annoying. And, when really is this going to happen? It will happen when you are not buying the running shoes from where you are supposed to buy them and you are not buying the correct shoes.

Most of the novice runners actually think that they will only be using the shoes for some casual walking for maybe a half an hour or an hour or maybe they will go out for a few minutes of light running. Whether it is few minutes or hours of light or heavy running, unless the shoes are perfect, problems are bound to come. If just every one can make shoes (or as a matter of fact any other thing), the very word specialization will go out of existence. There are many cheap running shoes and sneakers out there in the market which will be available at a price nearly one-tenth of the price of the branded shoes but you will have to remember that these shoes are not scientifically made. They do not follow geometry of human legs. The manufacturers of these shoes do not take care of the pressure points; they do not understand the role of body weight and road friction while running. They do not understand what type of material is best suited for road running. They also do not have the slightest of clue about the importance of stability and road grip. In short, what they manufacture just doesn't follow biology, they do not follow chemistry and they do not follow physics! In short, they do not follow science.

The road running shoes need to be comfortable and they must be light weight. They must follow different laws of physics and most important of those laws being road friction, pressure points, law or inertia and more. The popular and reputed brands have a whole team of engineers who take care of every aspect of science related to shoes to make the perfect running shoes. This increases their cost of production and hence, the price of the shoes increases. No matter what, they eventually deliver shoes which are comfortable, which are light and which are medically safe. So, if you planning to get a pair of running shoes for yourself, ask yourself about what you want - blistered feet or comfort and then make the decision.
