It can literally be thousands of dollars less than your other options, although it does take some real work on your part. Here is what you need to know to get this done right: 1. Focus on learning as much as you can upfront - I recommend getting a set of plans, preferably with video learning included. Locate the turbine on your roof so it is easy to access and work on - if locating on your roof is an option for you where you live, it provides a location higher up in the atmosphere than locating on the ground, but still gives you the accessibility you will need to work on it easily when problems inevitably arise. Because you have saved so much money by building the windmill yourself, you can take the money you save in electricity costs and use it to buy more renewable energy devices if they are needed to further offset power costs.
