Solar Energy Wind Generators

Hybrid solar wind turbines are becoming very popular among home users these days. With many consumers trying to power their homes with renewable energy, having as many options as possible within one unit is the wave of the future.

Up until recently wind power and solar power have been competing energy sources. As a world community, we just don\'t have the luxury to do that any longer. Fossil fuel supplies are in such short supply we must do everything we can to make the most out of all the free energy that is available.

Here are 3 key reasons why solar wind turbines work better than separate wind and solar power:

1. Leverage the power of the sun when it is out and shinning

2. Get the most out of the wind when it is blowing

3. You are covered by both and can supply power to your home most of the time.

In some parts of the U.S. the sun shines almost every day of the year. In states like California and Arizona, that is the case. In some states, like Washington, there are a huge number of days that get no sun at all. The rest of the country is somewhere in the middle.

That means that it will be difficult to have a standalone project for your home. However, as part of a total renewable system that includes wind, it can work.

By the same token, many areas are very strong for wind. Colorado, for example. And, many areas are very still for the most part, like Georgia. Most areas are somewhere in the middle of that continuum. Those are the states that can support a wind turbine part of the time.

Again, as a standalone device, wind alone will not work for you in those locations.

The ideal solution with these 2 technologies is to incorporate them into one device. With both wind and solar working for you, there is a real possibility that you can consistently supply renewable energy for your needs.

When the sun\'s not shining, you typically have stronger winds from fronts of moving are resulting from inclement weather. Then, your wind turbine will be working for you. When the sun is out though, you can benefit from the solar energy you are making.

In conclusion, it is a foregone conclusion that we will run out of fossil fuel energy. We all must be making plans to take advantage of solar wind turbines to take maximum advantage of the free energy that blankets us every day.
