Given how expensive they are and how long the payback period is, why would anyone buy wind turbine devices now? With prices expected to come down, isn\'t that a lot like buying the first VCR player. I can still remember when my brother bought his VCR back in 1979. It cost him over $2,000 and was about the size of a table. Of course prices have come down now and you can get them at Goodwill for $10 that will do about 10 times the functions that my brother\'s old unit would do. So, aren\'t wind turbines the same thing? Won\'t prices drop as time goes on just like the VCR? Yes, that is absolutely correct - but, here are 3 reasons why you can\'t wait and why it makes sense to buy now rather than later… The wind turbine will start paying for itself immediately out of the boxWindmills - at any price - will eventually pay for themselvesWindmills should be looked at like an investment in a bond - the price you pay is important but not as important as the yield The great thing about a windmill is that it is not like any other piece of electronics. Right after installing it, you can start making energy. Every time the blades are turning you are displacing electricity you would have bought from your power provider. Regardless of what you pay, you win with an investment in wind. That\'s because, that the sooner you get up and running the sooner you start paying back your investment. You can\'t afford to wait until prices come down to take action. Keep in mind, the world is running out of resources we use to make power. Oil and coal are in decline and we aren\'t making any more of it. Getting renewable energy sources isn\'t really an option anymore. The biggest way you win when you buy wind turbine units is that they payoff just like a bond - over time. Your initial investment is important. Of course you shouldn\'t overpay, but relatively speaking, you are better off getting a jump start on power generation at home rather than waiting until prices come down…they will always be coming down more as time passes. In summary, there is never a perfect time to buy wind turbine products. You just have to realize the technology pays for itself, do your homework, and take a plunge forward.
