The moment you start thinking that a solution is a one-size-fits-all, then that's when you should realize that you're making a mistake. Every wind energy solution is a custom one. However, it is still prudent to think through what the best alternative will be for you in installing your residential wind turbine. Even though there are not pat answers to the questions that come up, there are still some ways to generalize and understand the path that others have taken benefit from that. By and large, you want to follow these guidelines when you're deciding when the best time is to mount or install your residential wind turbine… The first thing is to make sure of is that it is installed in the season where you can work outside without being exposed to the elements in a bad way. For example, if it is snowing or if it is raining and you happen to be in a location where that happens for long periods of time, it is probably best to cool your jets for a while and wait until more favorable weather occurs. Another thing to consider when you're looking in the residential wind turbine products and when they should be installed is timing with the utility that you happened currently purchase power through. This is important because if you have a grid tie system that has net metering and could possibly feedback to the utility some power that you would like to get paid for, you need to make sure that your installation is at the time that the utility ratifies. Then, you also will make sure that you have the time to do all the steps necessary to get your home wind turbine up and running. It is usually a mistake to try to do a little bit here and a little bit there. That is because you lose the benefit of the learning curve. It's like starting all over again every time you kickstart process when you have a little bit more time on your hands. In conclusion, installing a residential wind turbine is no different than any other home project. You are going to be outside and expose the elements when installing it. The question you must ask yourself is, whether you would rather be installing the turbind when the weather is harsh and severe weather you would rather wait for more pleasant conditions.
