As most people know trees are important to us because they turn carbon dioxide into oxygen. However, the also provide a crucial social role as well - here are a few ways we make the most out of life under the branches. Napping One of the most pleasant ways we can spend our time is by having a relaxing snooze under a tree. The trunk can be a great implement to lean against if we want to sit upright and the branches themselves can give us shade that means the sun is blocked from our eyes and makes drifting off that much easier. Of course, we are much likely to enjoy a deeper sleep than we might normally simply because we can take advantage of the oxygen that is being generated at such a close source. Gardening It seems a rather obvious thing that we do, but most gardens aren't just a lawn, some walls and hedges and some flowers, but they also contain trees. Consequently, when we garden we spend a lot of time in the presence of trees and we can sometimes garden them too. For the bigger tasks it's often a good idea to hire a professional - such as a tree surgeon - to help us manage them effectively. Reading This activity is not dissimilar to napping as we benefit from the extra oxygen powering our brains meaning we can concentrate better and understand the information we are reading more effectively. It's also very pleasant to be able to read in peace and as there are many trees in the countryside we are more likely to benefit from this under their branches. Picnicking Having a picnic is something almost all families like to do from one time to another - particularly when they have small children - and it offers a fantastic time to bond with your relatives. Of course, pitching your blanket beneath a tree is often the idea spot as it is generally cooler and therefore foods and drinks are likely to spoil slightly less quickly. Also, the branches act as a block to the sun meaning we can sit for longer with the less chance of being burned by the sun. As you can see there are many important roles trees play in our world, and allow us to do many different things, from
