Of course it requires specific product knowledge about the wind turbine. It also requires a mechanical aptitude and you will be required to work on subsystems of the device, such as the motor that actually makes the electricity. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of this job of wind turbine technician is the fact that many wind turbines are up very high in the air. Some of these devices are set on towers at least 200 feet up.
