The Miniature Schnauzer is also accepted to be extremely intelligent - ranking 12th compared to other dogs when considering their capability to be trained obedience directives. They are additionally known to be good with children - making them quite suitable as a family pet. The Miniature Schnauzer is usually pleasant with other dogs when they're properly socialized at an early age. The Miniature Schnauzer doesn't always need a yard to run around in, so they are quite suitable for living in an apartment so long as they are given daily exercise. The Miniature Schnauzer benefits from activities which include playing games of fetch or running around in a safe area. They have a moderately high quantity of energy and need exercise each day in the form of short walks to avoid excessive weight gain as well as destructive behavior that might result from boredom.
