If you are seriously looking at ways to slash your home energy costs, then you need to look at the turbine kit early on. They are relatively cheap and easy to understand when compared with your other renewable energy options for sure and they are also easy for the average homeowner to install. These are the 2 ways they might fail you though... Not enough wind - Not having enough wind is definitely a problem. The way to know if you have enough wind is to test it and to collect data. You must collect data over a period of months in order to draw any meaningful conclusions though. This is the part that many people leave out. In their haste to get something up and running and saving them money on their power bills they neglect to collect some data and make sure they're optimizing what they buy. This is of course a major mistake but it is one that can be avoided if you just relax and take a little time with this. Not accepted by the community in which you live - Local communities sometimes do not support individuals on home wind turbines of their homes. In past years there has been a lot of community debate about whether these are actually good for us or not. Wind turbine devices are annoying to a lot of people on the fact they just spin constantly makes them even worse. That of course is just the horizontal variety. The horizontal type of wind turbine constantly seeks to find the best wind and therefore turns both counterclockwise clockwise constantly in its effort to do so. When you're doing a project of this magnitude it makes the most sense to carefully look into what your options are and the limitations that may keep you from realizing what you set out to accomplish. This is not something that takes a long long time to do but it is something that needs to be done. Therefore, before you ever get started, it is wise to them with a piece of paper and sketch out all the different elements of the project you will need to take care of in order to ensure a successful completion. Many of these items you can get from manufacturers of wind turbines themselves. In conclusion, the turbine kit can be the ideal solution for you but you need to be careful and pay close attention to these 2 ways they could fail and make sure you factor these things into your cost equation.
