When you book a stay in any one of the many cheap hotels London it is important to bear in mind that there are some basic things that will be expected of you as a guest. Very often these are not things that are written down or made obvious in the hotel rules. Breaking these unwritten hotel etiquette rules could see you end up on the wrong side of other guests and staff.

General Conduct - Because a hotel is partly a public place it is a good idea to make sure that you conduct yourself in an appropriate way. Things like loud and inappropriate language might be offensive to other guests and staff. You should also make sure that you are fully dressed as you go about the kings cross hotel london or even answer the door.

Noise - It is always a good idea to keep the noise levels down to a minimum. Other guests might get upset if the television, radio or conversation in your room is too loud. There will be people staying there for a number of different reasons and some may want an early night or may have just gone there for some peace and quiet.

Cleanliness - There will usually be staff on hand to take care of any cleaning requirements. Housekeepers will generally come into the room on a daily basis to tidy your room for you but you can play your part by making sure that you do things like put your rubbish in the bin provided and put dirty linen in a neat pile ready for collection.

Tipping - Tipping will usually be very much appreciated by the staff. This is of course not compulsory but it is a good way of letting them know that you appreciate their service. The cleaner is probably going to be high on your list for tipping and you should make sure you tip on a daily basis. This is because most of them work on a shift basis and you may not see the one you want to tip at the end of your stay.

A Gracious Guest - Keep your demands to a minimum and be realistic. Of course you are paying for a service so you should expect to receive at least the basics. You should be able to relax and enjoy your stay without much stress caused by other guests or staff. You are expected to report things such as a dirty room or noisy guests, but too many unrealistic demands will be frowned upon.

It doesn't matter how much you paid to stay at the accommodation you should still try to exercise a lot of consideration for the people around you. If you and the others around you follow the basic etiquette then everyone is sure to have an enjoyable and relatively stress free time.

There are many cheap hotels London and many of them offer services that are above and beyond their price range. A good accommodation provides a good base from which to fully enjoy a holiday and following this basic etiquette guide will help to make sure that everything runs smoothly
