Wind Turbines For Homes: Will They Be Popular In 10 Years?

By : Roger Brown

A natural human tendency we all have is to assume that trends that are going on now will always go on. With wind turbines for homes that may or may not be the case.

While their future is uncertain, here are the reasons I do actually believe wind turbines for homes will be popular from here on out...

The world is running out of traditional fuels and we have no choice - As we all know our world is sucking up traditional fossil fuel sources of energy at an alarming rate. Ever since the Chinese decided to Westernize, we have been on a fast track for depleting our crude oil within a generation or two. We think we've got plenty of time to figure this out but we really don't. We're assuming that these Middle Eastern oil wells will continue to pump out their product for years and years to come. We also assume that with every small find off the coast of Alaska that we have solved our problem again and we no longer have to worry about supplies of fossil fuels. That is not the case however. We know down deep we have a finite natural resource and fossil fuels and that eventually we're going to be completely out of it.

People want to take back control of their energy destinies - For too long we have felt like large companies, like the oil companies, are controlling our destiny's regarding energy making. No one likes to feel like someone else is making decisions for them. As prices for energy continues to rise, we really have no choice but to try to gain some ground back by installing home wind turbines and other renewable devices at our homes. By carving out a little bit of renewable energy at our homes that we can manufacture power for free with, we are gaining a little bit of ground back in the fight against the global profit taking of these humongous companies.

Pollution is increasingly a fact of life in big cities - In large cities all over the globe pollution is increasingly becoming a topic again. For a while it took a backseat to climate change but now pollution is a real factor in many large cities like Hong Kong, where people that are out in the middle the day after wear protective masks keep from choking. Most of the pollution in this world comes from the manufacture of power from fossil fuels.

In summary, wind turbines for homes will likely be even more popular later than they are now. As the picture becomes clearer and clearer of how much billable and clean energy will mean to the population of the world, wind turbines for homes will become increasingly popular.
