Modern technology has helped ease the troubles of the advertising business. Whereas previous people had to deal with a printing system that was hit or miss, digital printing can allow companies to get their message done correctly and quickly. While preforms are part of today's printing system, the tweaks that can be completed far outperform what was possible 20 years ago. That's not even bringing up the ability to manage larger and more elaborate print runs. Any leader of a printing company presumably praises technological advances every day. Digital printing has made what used to be a challenge a very easy and simple process to perfect. Plus, when larger print ranges are necessary for products, they can be done quicker. This means that any changes needed to be made can be done on the fly, by pushing buttons or mentioning something briefly to the supervisor. From there, a number of options can be tested to find something that satisfies all. Before the advent of digital technology, printing could be a gamble. Before the advances went mainstream, there would be every possibility that outcomes would not be to the standard wanted by the company. With today's gimmicks in the hands of companies, the trial and error can be vastly limited. Demos can be done in mere minutes or seconds, and preforms can take minutes instead of days. Having these machines at the ready is as important as the humans working them. That said, the digital system is not a perfect one. Most machines are built to handle very particular print runs, almost never above a thousand. However, no company doesn't have a single machine, as the amount of business would be frighteningly small. There are other methods accessible to keep colors, for example. Of course, that depends on what the company using the printing machine needs out of the product. The more delineated the project, the harder it is to recreate. The options available when assembling together digital printing projects can be endless. No company worth their letterhead can't dispute the flexibility brought. Many mockups and preforms can be created on the fly, instead of waiting days for the results to come in before a vital meeting. It sure beats dealing with two-dimensional versions and estimating from there. Holding a potential product in someone's hands will more than likely swing a final decision on a project.
